Which SDRAM module can run above 170mhz? I know this sounds crazy.. but I need a RAM that can handle this speed!

I would like to find out the RAM can go up this speed for use on a KT133A board.
Because I am planning to overclock my Duron to 133 x 7, which has already been tested at Ocworkbench.com
But I think they only use Host Memory Clock, which is only 100 plus the System bus added 33
=133 for the RAM. But I will run at Host+PCI, which will be 133*33%=43.89
43.89+133*=176.89...
anyway.. I need a RAm that can run this fast.. has any one heard of ram can handle this?

Get some Mosel Vitelic PC143 CAS2 memory from John in the FS/FT forum.. it's been known to go over 160mhz and would probably keep going if other components didn't become a problem with the high FSB... memory can handle them tho :)

I have a PC150 Module from Kingmax, but I don't know how high it will go though, since KT133A boards aren't out yet.

Good luck finding cheap ram that will run at over 170mhz. That Mushkin stuff is the best ram out there, and even then it's not sure it'll run at that speed.

well, Mushkin is too expensive...

Then you really aren't in the market for 170+ MHz memory.

I will try my Kingmax once the motherboard is out, if not I will then try Mushkin.
Maybe Kingmax's module is able to handle this speed...

That Mushkin is not too expensive. 128MB of that Rev3 stuff for $130... That is a pretty good price for RAM of that quality. With RAM you do get what you pay for... Good Luck with whatever you get.

I dont like Mushkin. They use Toshiba chips. Toshiba sold high tech nuke submarine technology to the commies during the cold war. :)

My HSDRAM probably can. I've had it up to 166MHz with 3-2-2 timings. I just wish the CPU was stable at that speed. I know the memory and motherboard are. My motherboard tops out at 166MHz, so I don't know if it'll boot any higher. It lasts for about an hour at 1080MHz, 166MHz.

Oh yeah.... as for the KT133A. I don't think there is an option for the +PCI option when using a 133MHz bus. That option is only available when running with a 1/3 PCI divider. You can use the -PCI option at 133MHz though.

ya.. could be. but I don't know, since KT133 can never reach 133, so, can't test it with KT133....
have you guys seen the report as OCWORKBENCH
they were able to get their Duron 600 up 7 x 140 and Athlon 7 x 145!!! with KT133A
