hey guys.. I currently have a WD1200JB (8 meg cache) as my main hard drive, but I am plannin on getting the seagate 36lp which is the current king of speed in the hard drive world... I will use my 120 gig as backup for stuff and use the seagate for OS/apps etc... my main question is... what SCSI card should I get for this seagate drive.. price isnt too much of a consideration.. I know adaptec makes good products.. should i get the Adaptec 29160N?? thanks for any info...

Adaptec 19160 (same card as 29160N except Adaptec doesn't provide non-Windows drivers for it, even though you'll have no problems finding drivers for any OS you want)
Tekram DC-390U3W
LSI U160

The LSI card is half the price as the others and performs just as well.

If you purchase an OEM card, make sure you get an LVD cable - those will set you back about $35. Most of them can be found in a 'white box' version which includes a cable.
