Which SATA HDD to get?

What are the top 5 1-4TB internal desktop computer WD SATA HDD to get at the moment, or perhaps I should get an SSD drive for dual boot Linux/Windows?

Is there a real world different in speed for SATA 3Gbs and 6Gbs SSD?

<--- Going back to Linux because Windows 8 is terrible (Windows is for Lightroom only).

There is no real world difference for mechanical HDD in SATA 3 vs 6.
Best mechanical drives are the WD Black - fast and 5 year warranty.
If you want SSD, that's a different beast - and this is where SATA 6Gbps helps.
I would roll with a 128 GB SSD for the OS or 256 SSD for OS & Apps
and a couple WD Blacks for your other stuff - videos/music/photos/etc.
