Which Ryzen CPU to get?

I'm trying to decide which Ryzen processor to get. To my understanding, the 1800x isn't worth the cost because of being able to overclock the 1700 and 1700x to pretty much run like the 1800x.

Which brings up my question between the 1700 and 1700x, how high are you bring able to over clock on these two CPU's? using reasonable voltage?

Overall I'm aiming between the two 1700 models, but was trying to see if there was a benefit between the 2, or even a benefit going with the 1800

Just so you know, if you overclocked, turbo is automatically disabled.

For example, if your overclocked the Ryzen 7 1700 to 3.6 GHz (base frequency of the Ryzen 7 1800X), you no longer get Turbo while a Ryzen 7 1800X can turbo to 4.0 GHz at stock.
 
I got the 1700x because I couldn't justify $100 for an extra 100 Mhz on the 1800x, but I could justify a 95W CPU that consistently runs at 3.4-3.6 Ghz over a 65W CPU that is held back to 3.0-3.2 Ghz for an extra $80. Of course, they can probably all overclock to the same level, but the system seems to sip power if you leave it at stock and let the XFR and SenseMI do its thing, while it is a power hog when you go into OC mode.
