Which runs cooler? Both at stock speeds

MSI GF3 ti200 64MB w/ passive heatsink
PNY GF4 ti4200 128MB

I am only concerned because this card will be sharing a small case with a IBM 75GXP 7200rpm hdd with minimum air flow.

Oh yeah there's a XP1700+ somewhere in there too:)

Dont quote me but I believe the GeForce3 is a .15µ part like the GeForce4 Ti series. Being a less complex chip it should produce less heat.

I don't recall my Ti4200 (@310/650) being that hot, but it had a ton of heatsinks and fan (Albatron Turbo) so maybe that dissipated the heat a bit more. I do remember my Visiontek Ti200 once OC'd to 235/510 would heat up my entire room. W/out a slot cooler I installed in front of it, my case temps would go from 26C idle to like 36C load, which would push my CPU up temps into unstable territory. Those were fun days. :D
