topic says it all. I have the Linksys at my house now, but would like to know if the Netgear works better so I can swap it? Which one is more advanced?

I've got a Netgear RT314 and a Netgear FA311 NIC. I was able to set it up in about 20 minutes and haven't had any problems under Windows 98 SE. After doing a full install of Windows ME, I can't get I.E. 5.5 to connect to the internet without first, disconnecting/reconnecting the cable coming out of my NIC. Once I do that, everything works fine until I powerdown/restart my computer. I than have to go through the process of disconnecting/reconnecting the cable again.

From what I've heard, the Linksys DSL cable router is much easier to configure. A much cleaner and efficient interface. Than again, I didn't have any problems setting up my Netgear router and NIC.

Take care,

As long as the NICs in your computers are set to auto detect everything.....then setting up the Netgear isn't a problem. I got mine to work in 5 min...hooking up two systems. I never tried the Linksys so I can't comment on that..but I bought the netgear cuz i heard better things about it in general and the reviews for it seemed more positive than the Linksys.
