Which route to go??

OK, I have a wireless card in my PC and its not getting very good connection or signal. So I am going to go to BestBuy tommorow and ask GeekSquad the best thing to do. I don't really want to spend anymore money but I'm comfortable with the fact I probably will. So would it be wise to have my ISP come out and install a cable plug or should I keep the wireless card and get a range extender???

Any help would be great or any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advanced...

1) Get a USB Cable (can be had for 5 bucks shipped in FS/FT forums)
2) Get a USB wireless adaptor (can be had for 20 bucks shipped in FS/FT forums)
3) Attatch the USB cable to your computer's USB port
4) Attatch USB wireless adaptor to the usb cable
5) Move the USB wireless adaptor as close as you can to the direction of your router. Make sure not to detatch the USB cable from either the computer or the USB wireless adaptor
6) Sell your old wireless card.
