I want to get a Roomba for a small office but I do not know much about them. Costco has one for $300. I think the 595. What is the advantage of the more expensive ones?

Anything thoughts on which one I should get? The room is all thin carpet.

irobot has a graph showing the features of the different series of roomba. It looks like the 500 series isn't in production any more, but I would assume it to be similar to the 600 series in the graph. The differences that would matter to me would be the room-to-room navigation starting with the 700 series and the stronger suction and better cleaning brushes in the 800 series.

Get one that allows you to program it to run when you want. Some of the lower end ones can't be scheduled.

In case someone stumbled upon this thread while looking for robot vacuums , I can personally recommend to check out Neato Robotics. Their Signature XV Pro Robot Vacuum is cheaper and more intelligent than the competition from iRobot. It is also currently often referred to as the best robot vacuum on the market. I am pretty happy with it.

As always, just a personal opinion.
