1440 is the sweet point for this generation of games and graphics cards. Few years down the road, we'll be looking at 4K

Right this moment 1440p 144hz, but I have no problems waiting a few years for OLED HDR capable 3840x2160 144hz+ before upgrading considering i'm currently on 1440p 60hz.

When a 32" 1440p 144hz HDR VA gsync/freesync monitor is launched, I'll buy one with a matching video card.

32" 1440p 144hz VA or IPS gsync would be perfect upgrade from my 27" 1440P TN.

*Typing this on 32" 1440P VA at work, only thing missing is 144Hz and Gsync.

In a 27" size, I'd go with 4k + hdr + 100hz when this comes out. Since I'm still working on my build, I am thinking about an ultrawide with a high refresh rate, like the revised predator. Still can't decide though. I've been using a 27" U2711 Dell since 2010...and am itching to upgrade there too in the new build.

1440 @ 144hz freesync IPS, HDR when they appear.

Dropping to 60hz at 4K is just too much of a drop in smoothness to justify the resolution increase for me.

1080p @ 120Hz is a great entry level for any display, IMO. I wish that were the bare minimum. I would love to see DisplayPort 1.4 bring some 4K120 and 1080p240 displays to the market sooner rather than later.
