Right now I have a Corsair XMS 512MB 3200C2 and it's chugging happily at 190Mhz, 5-2-2-2 @ 2.77v.

I wanna add another 512MB and utilize dual-channel on my Epox 8RDA+.

These are the options I have in mind now:
1. Ditch this stick and get 2 x 512MB PC3200/PC3500.
a) Corsair TwinX PC3200LL from Googlegear
b) Buffalo RAM from NewEgg which has been discussed in this thread.
c) Kingston HyperX PC3200/PC3500 from... Newegg?
d) TwinMOS from memoryx, which is quite pricey now!

- This will also mean I'll have a good stick of 512MB Corsair XMS for sale :D

2. Get another stick of the same RAM from Googlegear for $99 shipped plus tax. I'm only worried that putting 2 sticks of these would not allow me to run it with such aggressive timings anymore.

My budget...try not so spend about $100 after selling off my old RAM. Tell me what do you think?

I am actually in the same boat as you, since I just ordered a Soltek NF2 board. What I am gonna do, is first test the speed of my current PC3000 Corsair PT, see how high it can get. If it does high enough Ill keep it. I am thinking about that buffalo tech ram myself, good price, and from Newegg. I would also test the Buffalo ram alone too, see if it does any better. If it does do better, then id sell my Corsair and get another stick of Buffalo.

Hey, congrats on the order, I might just buy that Corsair if you plan on selling it.

i actually have a corsair xms3200c2 512 stick...i bought 2x512mb twinmos/winbond to run dual channel. i'm still testing it, but it doesn't seem to like dc ddr at 200+fsb (at 2,2,2,5) timings....it's wierd, it'll prime all night, but 3dmark crashes pretty fast. it'll do 195 dc ddr 2,2,2,5. i went ahead and ordered the buffalo ram to try out this weekend. :D but damn the googlegear price drops on that corsair xms...i won't be able to sell my stick for much if this keeps up (considering i paid $185 for it awhile back).

You can't go wrong with Crosair for sure, I'm trying to make the SAME choice you are right now . Kingston IMO sucks, it's never been good mem for me. I'm thinking about getting some Geil at this point though, they've got some good reviews and great prices.

Damn damn damn, 512MB Corsair XMS 3200 C2 is $99 shipped second day at Googlegear now. Figures, after I order it for $109 five days ago and my first stick for $171.50 five months ago. LOL. Technology sucks.

Going for Crucial would be a downgrade for me. Unless they come up with a really really good PC3200 at some insane prices, no.
