which ram to go with my XP-M 2400+

I have heard that to get maximum performance out of your overclock you need to match the FSB with your memory FSB? Does this mean that if I buy a pc3200 ram I should only overclock my the FSB of my board to 200MHZ?? Also how important is the CAS latency regarding to overclocking? I already have 1GB (2X512 MB) mushkin blue line dual (2.5-4-4) and I am planning to buy another gig of ram. One of these set is for a P4 2.8c and the other one will be for my XP-M 2400.

Depending what you buy the 3200 will do more then 200mhz. CAS is not all that important to overclocking specifically, but improves memory speeds in general.

Yeah, memory speed like PC2700, PC3200, PC4000, etc. lets you know how much of an overclock fsb-wise you'll be able to get. Of course, good, expensive ram will almost always go higher than it's rated specifications. But, the CAS speed determines how fast the entire system is going to operate. With a CAS of 2.0, the processor has to wait exactly 2 clock cycles for information to get to it from the ram. With CAS of 3.0, it has to wait 3 clock cycles, which is obviously 50% longer. So, you always want to buy the lowest latency ram you can afford, because it's going to make your system faster. You can't beat this ram for performance-to-price ratio: OCZ EL for $105/512MB.

couple more questions:

1) i heard that AMD only gets like 2 - 3% performance increase from dual channel is this true?

2) i've seen posts that say p4 chips do not function well with a lot of rams except ocz, is this also true?
