Which ram to buy for my laptop

I have an Alienware 15 r2 with the i5-6300 n 8 gigs of ram. I want to upgrade to 16 gigs with 8 and 8 sticks. Which ram to buy, good for gaming and no overclocking.?

Is there a way I can check to see how many sticks are in the laptop currently without opening it? N if I can mix n match ram sticks. I know the current one is hundai electronics,

It is best to get matching sticks for stability and to eliminate any potential issues, but if you mix different speeds, they will run at the slowest stick's speed.

Now if I buy higher rated speed sticks. Will they work at those speeds automatically or will it lower it to slower speeds?
