Take the Corsair, it runs at 1.9v instead of the other's 2.1v. That'll make the memory last longer, run cooler, and probably most importantly for you, it'll give you a lot more OC'ing headroom. Also, some boards won't POST the memory at a high voltage like that.

If only that was actually true.

The Buffalo Firestix is actually fantastic RAM, unlike the Corsair.

D9 chips, to be exact, which means OCing to 1000+ w/o any trouble.

I forget which ICs Corsair uses, but it's crap for serious OCing.

I know about the famous D9 chips, but why does it run a 2.1v if it's so great?

I still use Corsair Value-RAM for most of my budget/non-gamer builds, but after several rounds of serious problems I've stopped using their high-end DDR2 memory.. no recent experience with high-end Corsair DDR1 but in fairness when I last installed it I had no trouble.

I've never tried Buffalo RAM personally, so I can't comment about it, but I've had the best luck with Mushkin for high-end DDR2 however their top performing Redline modules are quite pricy.

Buy based on the chips, I've had good Exp. w/ Buffalo in the past bought some of their value PC3200 DDR w/ Winbond CH-5 chips and they're good to 226 @ 2.7v 2328 and that was their junk value memory back when BH5 and CH5 stuff was popular before it got rerelased, stuff still works great. If you get a good IC its tough for the memory maker to screw it up, just make sure you know what your buying.
