which ram idea better 2x512 or 2gb

titles says it all plz recommend a 2x1gb package like corsair xms or somthing else that will oc well current selection is 2x512 ocz plat rev 2 for 167$

What speed are you trying to reach?

You may just need to use a divider on the 2Gig modules due to the fact that most won't overclock as well as their 512MB counterparts, but the 1Gig increase in Ram is a clear advantage.

I like the OCZ and Patriot Kits that are 2-3-2-5. They are between 225-270 bucks.

i was also looking at those as well as geil. And 400 is what i want i was seeing alot of stuff with 2t command rates when using 4 dimms that y i say 2x1gb sticks instead using 4x512 but i was wondering then for small overclock which is btter the geil ocz corsair xms or even the pqi turbos?
