I am building my new comp in a few weeks and I am going to use a MSI K8T Neo FIS2R. Just wondering, what would be some good RAM for this mobo? I understand the socket 754 boards are picky on memory, so if anyone can recommend some RAM that is KNOWN to be both fast and stable on this board, please let me know! Looking to buy 2x512mb. Also, not willing to spend insane amounts of money on it either, looking for like 250 bucks or so. Memory prices just keep climbing, sigh...

Thanks for any suggestions =D

buy 1 1 gig stick rather. unless, they've changed how the memory controller in an A64 works, but in the early models anyway if you had 3 sticks of ram, they ran at PC1600 speeds. (or half speed anyway), which would hamper any future expansion plans for you, however if you aren't using it for vid editing or CAD, 1gig should be plenty anyway.

The board I had was a Shuttle Nforce3-150 model and an A64 -3200

The most taxing thing I will be doing with my computer is gaming (quite a lot, I expect). I will not do any video editing or encoding type tasks or I would buy a p4 =) Anyway, I find it difficult to find 1 gig sticks of RAM. Even on newegg...

And as for the MSI qualified modules list, those memory brands are like all bogus lol
