Which race will win the Next Survivor?

JS80

Lifer
Gee who woulda thought Stanford undergrad, Yale Law, Google corp dev, McKinsey consultant and political aide would win this one?

Not sure if its such a good idea. It will be interesting to watch, so i think i will tune in.

its gotta get more people to watch.. and it creates a 'natural' feel to the game, like what Auggie said above... as if they are seperate countries, and now they are warring with eachother. but its bound not to be equal, as you might end up having a good portion of 'weak' asians (and barely any strong ones, which puts them at a dissadvantage). hopefully they make it even in terms of capable strength.

the whites will lose for sure. Asians have the smarts, blacks have the athletic prowess and are well endowed(hence a "secret" alliance with white women, the latinos will steal their way to the top.

latino isn't a race.

That's why the article says ethnicity.

I think this is a bad idea, because whichever side does badly will say the contests were biased against their race.

If like last season, they won't let it play out to the end, rather they'll "merge" after 2 weeks. Stupid promotional stunt that you wouldn't see a country with civilized people perform.

Of course, I'll still watch, death, dismemberment and trainwrecks always get my attention.

Why not?

Why is ethnic diversity something to be desired?

People like to pretend that "no diversity" == "unfair". I refuse to pretend.

I like the idea of pitting races against each other. If you're forced to include every race (whether they like it or not) why not segregate them. Everyone likes to avoid direct comparisons of races so this should be refreshing. Not that the results will tell us much.

now that i think about it, is this any different than the Olympics (to a degree)?

Performance in the Olympics depends a lot on which countries are willing to spend the most on training. And we have the advantage that everyone wants to live here, so we get some of the best people from all over the world moving here.

Ask yourself what CBS's goal is. Does the result matter? Will it have any impact on the game?
