Which R9 280X ? Sapphire Or GIGABYTE

The 7950 in no option for me,they share similar price so the 280x is my true choice (I have alwats planned to get the 7970 so why not now) and the 290 is gonna cost a lot more then i can afford so bye to that.

Back to subject then,what do you think about sapphire toxic edition? worth waiting for over the vapor x one? because right now i'm wondering between gigabyte wf3 and asus cards...
 
You really have to ask yourself if the toxic is worth a 60$ premium. It's a nice card and all, but I were on the market for a 300$ GPU and saw an 1100mhz Gigabyte WF3 for 299$, and a Toxic 280X for 360$ - i'm pretty sure I would take the former.

That said, all 3 of these are excellent cards. It all depends on your budget - as far as I see it, you're essentially getting cards that are pretty close to each other in performance but there is a large price disparity with the toxic edition. As well, extreme overclocks have a price to pay in terms of heat output and noise - something to consider. I had 680 lightning GPUs last year and I loved them to death and could OC the HECK out of them. Yet, there was definitely a price to pay for that overclocking. That may bother some people. (I didn't really care so much).
 
Good info in this thread. I've been considering picking up one of these myself to replace my GTX 570. I wasn't sure which option would be better because there aren't any reviews on Newegg yet, but now I'm leaning towards the Gigabyte.

Bar, do you live in a country that prohibits you from purchasing a 7950 or 7970 for less money than a 280X?
