Both of these feature Advanced Cable Management system which caught my attention.
But which PSU is better on other cases ? Also are there any PSU's which features cable management system?
I affectionately like to refer to Powmax as the PSU Devil.
Do not buy the X-connect. It may look high quality on the outside, but I'm willing to bet that there's nothing more than a hamster on a wheel inside it. A hamster that will blow up and take your system with it.
Modular cables are definitely a nice addition and something I think we will see a lot more of in future PSUs. Ultra is part of TigerDirect and from what I can tell, all they sell are gussied-up rebadged products of questionable quality.
I would go with the Antec simply because they are an established company and have a reputation for building quality products.
I have a neopower, and its working out really well in my system, I have a GF6800Ultra and the old p4 3.06ghz cpu which was a power hog, that runs pretty damn hot. It can handle my setup, so its pretty good.
I got an UltraConnect X, runs pretty well and the braided round cables definitely make my case look clean inside. I actually went from a truepower 550w to this, and i'm very satisfied.
