Which PS2 games to get?

See poll for a list of games that I can get for free (I can get any combo of two off the list for spending eleventy billion dollars on my Sony Card) which would be your top pick?

Also, I'm pretty new to PS2, any other games anyone might highly suggest I run out and buy? I already have Madden 2005, FIFA 2005 and Star Wars Battlegrounds - I'm big on replayability and non-linear type games and have always been more of a PC gamers so any suggestions would be appreciated.

The poll is limited to games I can get for free - but looking for any other puchase suggestions as well!!! I had heard God of War was good, but now I'm sold on it for sure!

I'd get Tiger out of those. I guess Socom2 is sweet online but you don't mention having online.

But seriously, I'd buy God of War above anything else. Possibly the best game I've ever seen on the PS2. I'd love to have it come out for Xbox. And Ninja Gaiden for the PC, but ok ok I'll stop dreaming now.

For Truth. GoW is a must-own. It's still not as polished and purely fun as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was, but it has some fresh ideas and the platforming genre is always good times. All told, even if it isn't quite as smoothed out at PoP: SoT was, it's still GOBS of fun. Highly recommended.


Oh, and if you haven't played Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, add that to your list, very near the top.

DAYUUUM! God of War is incredible!! I went out and bought it this morning, and couldn't put the controller down for hours. I used to be quite the gamer but haven't played much in a long time, GoW has single-handedly revived my interest in gaming.

Thanks fellas! Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Grand Turismo is next on my "to buy" list....

SoulCalibur II is an awesome game.....especially if you're getting it for free! The only thing that kind of stinks about it is that you pretty much HAVE to go through the mission mode to unlock new battle modes and to buy new weapons/costumes/stages. But since you're getting the game for free, it's not like you have anything to lose. SSX 3 is another fun game, I don't know if that's the same as SSX: Out of Bounds or not.

On another note, I've read that Star Ocean: Till The End of Time is a good RPG. Does anyone have it and/or has played it and is it actually any good?
