odds are it doesnt really matter..
i will have 2 (3 actually, but the other one doesnt count), that i will be using...
one will be a 3.9g e8400, 8800gt (for now), abit ip35-e, 4gb mushkin 5-4-4-12, 500gb seagate, razer barracuda audio card, sunbeam core contact cooler, vista 64bit...
other will be amd 8450 (no oc), biostar 790gx, no graphics card for now (will get the 8800gt when i decide to upgrade the other pc), 2gb mushkin ram (eventually 6gb or 8gb), eventually 6+ hard drives (seagate ES drives), wireless card, zerotherm btf oc cooler, ubuntu server.
first pc will be for gaming and running simluations...
the 2nd pc will be a server that provides data to my gf who spends a lot of time in china. the server will also be data collecting high frequency data and storing it in a database. eventually, i will be building a trading platform on this pc. though this will be a proof of concept and not true dedicated trading platform.
the first pc will be up from 2-6 hours per day, more on weekends.
the second pc will be up continuously...
i have 2 psu's, cooler master real power pro emba 850 and a corsair tx750...
my guess is that it probalby doesnt matter, but if I had to have one pc fail, it would be the first pc not the second.
any thoughts would be appreciated.
