Once again, I'm throwing in my heavily biased opinion to vote for Seventeen or Bust... 😉

Different processors do well at different projects, though, so it may help to tell us exactly what you're running.

AMD Athlon XP 3200+ Barton 2.2GHz 1GB 3200DDR RAM, 120GB HD
Pentium 1.8GHz 512 2700DDR RAM, 30GB HD
AMD XP 2200+ 1.8GHz 728 2700DDR RAM, 60GB HD
900MHz 256 2100 SDRAM 30GB HD


If there is a particular machine that will work best for 17 or bust, let me know and I will use those two.

I am the only computer user in the house and am only ever using one system at a time. The others are just up and running idle on a wireless network, thru a router and cable modem.

Two of these machine are spoken for... the other two I will gladly use here... 17 or bust is fine with me... wherever they are most needed.

the team name is Anandtech? I read 2039.. what is that?

You'd definitely want to use the P4 on SoB, they do very well on it. Any of the other CPUs would do fine as well 🙂

Don't believe no one has piped up for SETI! ,so I will😉

We are nearing S@H1 end (S@H2 in a few months?) at the moment we are at no.6 but BBR an old rival is threatening to pass us once & for all😛.
We would love to have your help in keeping BBR behind us forever in S@H1[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
And of course I think its cool that we are helping to Search for Extra Terristrial Intelligence😎

Not a member over there... you actually came over here I thought because of Funboy's post over there, and then contacted me 😀 But yes I am that person, and your email and involvement touched me big time, and I am so happy to see you here 😀
 
on the original post over there I found your name as one of the three to contact. I did not realize that you were on a different board. Until after had corresponded with you. So, I decided to have a little mooch around here... and I found that this board and the ARS board to be a million times more friendly then the board I am a member....

And I was correct. the people here and on ARS are some pretty fine ppl. Not only do I enjoy trading, but Ihave learned a lot of stuff about.. well, about stuff! 😉

It is really a community here, not a clique... I like that!

Ok, I am having trouble.

I downloaded, and installed the software yesterday for 17 or bust. I got confirmation emails with user name and password. I am running the.. whatever ... on two puters. I can see the work.

Here is the problem. .....

I can go to the website and do a member search and see KarenMarie ...joined yesterday.... no profile...

I try to sign in and get:
Specific error message: bad password at session.mc:login

Can't be... I cut and pasted the password.

So I try to reset the password:
The information you entered is invalid.
The email address you entered does not match the address that was provided when this account was created.

So, I think... well, maybe I am registered with the project, and my computer software, but not the website.... so I try to register... and get:
The information you entered is invalid. that username is already taken

So, either someone joined the same time I did with the same user name, or there is something wrong.

Also, as I said, I am running this on two machines... how can I configure it to be the same user name so all the stats go as one?
