Question which programs do you use to scan an old computer for defects?

here are 3 programs I use religiously to scan old and current computers' health.
- Crystal Disk info: to see hard drive's health
- malwarebyte: scan for virus and malwares.
- WinDirStat: scan for large junk files that should not exist

is there anything else i should be scanning for?

Ccleaner (I use the free version) is one I sometimes run. Cleans out (you hope) superfluous stuff. I've seen it recommended many times over the years, but not lately. I also use the programs you noted, except for WinDirStat, never heard of that one before.
