Which Processor for a laptop??

Well, basically I am looking for a desktop replacement laptop. 3 questions...

1) Pentium 4 M or Pentium 4?
What should i opt for? Any difference in pure performance in terms of suppose a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 and a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 M? What is the exact difference between the 2 chips? I have heard that the P4 M Chip consumes less power and runs cooler, but in terms of performance?

2) Also provided i get a laptop with 512 megs of RAM, and a graphic card with 64 MB RAM, will there be much difference if the processor is a Centrino or a Pentium 4 3.06 Ghz?

3) How much does the processor effect gaming performance anyway?

It's upto what you are going to use your laptop for. If you use it as a desktop replacement, get one based on P4. If you are using it outside, while traveling, or for other mobile use, get a Pentium-M/ Centrino based laptop unless you enjoy playing shoot them all games sitting at Starbucks.

if your actually going to be mobile at times then go for the p4m - the desktop version will just draw to much power and suck up your battery. - If your going to be plugged up OR you wanna save cash regardless then go for P4 OR XP-M 2600/2800
