I an trying to decide on a photo printer. I have narrowed it down to these printers:

Canon i960

Hewlett-Packerd 7960

I am interested in the printer that will give me the best quality. The $50 dollar price difference is not a consideration with the two printers.

The Canon i960 is great for the price. I can't comment on the HP, but I know first hand that the Canon i960 can make beautiful photo prints.

I prefer the canon because its less expensive to operate as far as ink prices. We have both models in use at my father-in-laws office. When he granted me the authority to fill his graphics departments requested for a third printer I asked the artists, who use them every day, which one they wanted me to buy a second one of , and they all requested the canon.

Their satisfaction with the quality of prints and ease of use of the canon is why I bought one for myself and one for my parents. Couldn't be happier with them.

The only reason i would buy the hp over the canon is for its ability to view and print without the use of a pc, but in that case the i900d will i belive do that as well.

I have heard great things about the Canon printer. What about the Hp printer. I have very little information on it

If you're in the market for a new printer and price isn't much of an issue, be sure to check out Canon's new line models iP3000, iP4000. There is a review of the iP4000 on http://www.stevesdigicams.com .
. They just hit the shelves at my local Staples and when all closed up, they look very non-descript - you'd miss them if you didn't have them on the brain at the time. They are on the top of my printer list when my i450 dies (I may have to find a way to hurry its demise along ;) ).
