Which printer to get? Epson 900, 980 or 870

I've searched for inkjet printers lately and I need to buy one soon. so these are my candidates, what do you think? which one to choose?

Epson 900 (this is Old model, right?)
Epson 980 (according to Epson web site, this is for Office)
Epson 870 (and this for Photo)

Since there is a $50 rebate for Epson 980, I would like to go for it, but Is Epson 870 prints better in Photo than 980 since its rated for Photo from Epson????

I was going for HP models like 970cse, but 970cse is too expensive for me, Know any HP models(good ones only) that are less than $230?

PC Magazine just did a test of 30 or so inkjets. They liked the Epsons better than the HP's. I have some of both and think they both do a great job.

Ditto to what Doug L said. PC Mag did a nice review comparing the printers and did a cost analysis on how much you'd spend on color cartridges.

I'm all for Epsons... but had an Epson break down on me once, and the first printer I ever bought, a HP 660c, is still running. Still love Epson's more though... I haven't really done much research on printers lately, but I remember when I was looking for one, the only difference between the 6xx, 7xx and 8xx series was the speed, the quality was the same... but I guess it's different now...
