Which Printer should I choose?

I'm about to buy a new printer 'coz my old 'n trusty Canon BJC-4100 isn't good enough to print my Digicam's picture. I've done some research and I'v come to settle for one of the following:

Epson 780 at U$100 or
Canon S520 at U$105

which one would you recomend??

I will use any of these basically for text and ocasional photo printing from a 2.1 megapixel Digicam

I'm a former Epson and HP printer user.

I love my Canon S900. I vote for the Canon.

The Cannon S520 has one of the lowest ink costs per page among ink jet printers. It's somewhere around 3 cents a page, which is comparable to to many laser printers! Canon S600 owner here .......... I love it and the best thing is that they are easily refillable Macro2 will chime in soon he has done it many times

I've owned 2 Epson printers and I've never been happy with them.

I recently bought a Canon S520 and so far I'm very happy with it. My only concern is, it makes a suspicious sound right after I turn it on. I'm wondering if it's normal or if I got a defective one. Other than that it seems to work perfectly.
