I usually do Small FFTs, but I've heard blend is usually the best way to test stability

Is FPU what loads up the CPU? I've done close to 24 hours on the Large one...

Isn't Blend more for RAM?

For a real test, give S&M a try. It heats up my chip 3-4C higher than P95's torture test.

I use small FFTs, because I use Memtest86 to test my RAM - so I don't need Prime95 to do it, and small FFTs keeps the Prime 95 calculations on the CPU as much as possible.

The more stress on components the better. The system shouldn't fail under any amount of stress. Don't skimp out by going with Small FFTs. Large at the very least.

Uh.

Small FFTs to stress test your CPU.

Blend and Large FFTs won't push the CPU as hard, though they may detect problems in your memory.

With blend you barely even stress the CPU.... at some points. Either large or small FFT's all the way.

it doesn't really matter, I have tried all three tests, each over a 48hr period and had my setup complete all three.

I don't use prime95 exclusively. Burnk7 in cpuburn works better since it was designed to be a stress tester unlike prime95.

Large fft don't stress the cpu as much as small fft.
