There's a version of the alpha which comes with a 36cfm fan@40dba, but i dont kow whether 40dba is already a notch too loud ?

Edit: right now my XP system has the ALpha 8045 sink with a Sunon fan, should i just keep with Sunon ???
 
My favorite 120mm fan - Panaflo L1A

I don't think they make any with RPM sensing though...

As for Sunon 80mm, really can't go wrong with Sunon - good, reliable fans. Make sure you have a higher output one - PTB1 or PTB2.

If you go XP-90, Panaflo H1A 92mm is a nice fan, good balance of airflow and noise. I have one on mine.

I agree, 92 seems to be a good balance especially since they have RPM sensing whereas the 120's dont.

I've been looking @ different recommended 120mm fans over @ SilentPCRreview and found that they have varied opinions.

I can say that a Panaflo 120L is quiet. But if you need more power or a 25mm width, they recommend the AcoustiFan? AF120C more that any others. Also recommended are the Evercool fans that come with either a
black plastic or aluminum frame.
Another recommended 120mm fan is the 120 x 25mm Globe fan.

I have used quite a few different 80mm fans and my favorite CPU fan is the Panaflo U1A (47CFM) These are kinda hard to find at times and don't have rpm indicators...
Here is another good high output 80mm YS-TECH w/speed control. I think you can also get this one without the speed control also, but the rheostat that comes with it is very good quality.
If you don't need quite as many cfms the Panaflo H1B is really quiet for the amount of air it pushes.

I would avoid Thermaltake fans. They just don't understand quiet.
The 80mm Sunons are not really that good either when you look at noise.

One setup I find interesting would be an XP-120 with the Evercool aluminum frame fan.
I wonder if the frame would help transfer even more heat away from the cpu?
 
I have 80mm Evercool black plastic fans in my case and would recommend that manufacturer. They are very quiet at 12V, though they could also be overshadowed by my Volcano 9. When I first bought them, I put my ear up to one and was amazed at how quiet it was, especially since I had not heard of Evercool until I bought the fans.
 
Since your overclocking and consered about noise I'd say get the XP-90/120. The larger fan will serve you better then any 80mm would need on the Alpha.
