Which Power Supply to use?

I'm planning to assemble a computer with the following configuration:

core i5 3450
HD 6850
8 GB Transcend DDR3 ram
and a monitor with a 1440 * 900 Resolution
The monitor will be connected via the external power supply.
Will a 450W corsair suffice to power this computer?

2wice, where are you buying from? Can't really recommend a PSU when I have no idea what's available to you.

I'll agree with Blain's choice. A 500W PSU is sufficient for almost any single GPU setup that you can think of. If you can't find Seasonic from where you're at, try Corsair, Silverstone, XFX or Antec just to name a few.

I don't know of any 450W Corsair PSU but if you're referring to the Corsair CX430, it is definitely sufficient for a single HD6850.

Yes I was referring to the CX430... Thank you and one last doubt What if i use the GTX 560 instead of 6850 will the CX430 still be enough?

The CX430 is sufficient for the HD6850 and GTX560 but the GTX560 would require a dual molex to PCIE cable because there is only a single 6 pin PCIE connector for the CX430. I would've preferred if the PSU itself comes with dual PCIE connectors (6 + 6/8) which most 500W PSUs do.

Interesting, I had never used the Newegg PSU calculator before.

It said my G630 (Pentium dual-core), 4GB DDR3, GT430, SSD, and DVD-RW should have a 253W PSU.

Pretty close, the OEM one is 220W. I haven't been able to get the rig to pull more than 100W at the wall with a KAW though.
