The basics.................

Sparkle is a 300W.......(bought it as a replacement for cheap PSU w/ good reviews on newegg).......+12V rail pushes 13A and then there's another sticker that shows "+12V max 18A"

Okia is the one that came already in a case and it's a 450W. It shows 18A on the +12V rail. Both are 20pin + 4pin (and I needed that to run the particular board).

Both are fairly quiet. Yes, both are cheap Chinese junk so it may not matter, but just curious. Also........if you want any details on 'em let me know & I'll look.

Any opinions???

(Almost forgot to put poll. This BEGS for a poll, eh?) 😉

That sounds familiar. (Goin' waaaaaay back) 😉

I like the way Sparkle puts the "18A" max sticker on it too. 'Cuz I'm sure that's all the Okia will do. The 18A *they're* showin' is probably max too, so probably ain't much difference between the two.

Any worth to weight??? (The sparkle's a little heavier if it matters) 😕

Ya, I'm thinkin' Sparkle too.

Other voltages are similar on the other rails but more importantly I just put the Sparkle in the system to test it & MAN that sucker's quiet. You can't hardly tell it's on!!

Plus it's got waaay more molex connectors and while the Okia weighs a little under 2lbs. the Sparkle weighs about THREE!!!

Yup, Sparkle's a keeper.......😉

weight in power supply's usuallly signal better quality cause the transformer is bigger. or something like that. anyway, Sparkle = Fortron and they only say 300W cause they're humble.
