I'm building this computer for my sister who is off at college.

It consists of the following things:

Iwill KK266
Duron 800mhz (non-overclocked)
30gb Western Digital 7200rpm HDD
256mb PC100 (From Dell Deal)
10/100 Linksys Nic
Hp 9150i Cd writer
Viper V550
Floppy Drive

I was wondering which power supply I should get.

I am considering either a 300watt generic or a 250watt Athlon.
I assume it would need an AMD approved ps right?
I suppose I could always go with a 300watt athlon and be totally sure but that's over double the price of the 250!

What should I do?

Get an AMD approved 300W PS. So it will be fine if she decides to upgrade the CPU in the future. The way the prices of CPUs are going down I expect my kid will be getting the 1.2Ghz Athlons in her Happy Meals pretty soon.:D

I would think you could get on of those for $30 to $40.
