I would like to buy CloneCD and get a Plextor drive. I am not sure how up to date their site is for showing what Plextors are compatible. I would prefer a SCSI Plextor. So, is anyone using a Plextor with CloneCD and if so, could you please tell me which model it is, the speed and if its SCSI or IDE

Most apprciated.

I believe all Plextors support CloneCD, could be wrong....but anyway I have a PlexWriter 12/4/32 SCSI works great with CloneCD

I have the latest clone cd and it seems to support my 10X12X32 Plextor IDE version just fine.

Check out the clone CD site [L]http://www.elaborate-bytes.com/[/L]. Look under the Requirements section, -> hardware requirements. There you will find all the writers that work with clone CD listed.

The Plextors are pretty highly reccommended by Clone-CD.

Love my "Imation", err Plextor 8x20.

On a general info note: for older Plextor drives, it's a requirement to be using the latest Plextor firmware for best compatibility with CLone-CD.

Clone CD will copy any CD out their regardless if it is protected or not.(Like those Microsoft games that say, Please wait while the CD is verified, it will copy those;)

assuming you use the right settings, etc. =P

there's a database of the settings you can use for each game, which type of rip to do, sector reads, etc. pretty much garuntees a perfect burn each time ;)

too bad there's no cd-to-cd, doh
