my abit board finally went bad and i replaced it with a generic slot 1 board. it has 100 mhz FSB but its not adjustable, no jumpers or soft menu, does anyone know which pin to tape up to get it to detect at 100 mhz FSB? the pins to tape up to get to 2.2 v would be great too. thanks in advance.

alright, i've found an article about taping the B21 to get it to 100 mhz FSB, but what about voltage settings? any help is appreciated.

Yes. I the sides are marked. I have done the tape trick, the only problem is you can only get 2.2 or 2.4 volts, nothing in between. I used cassette tape repair tape. R.

I was wondering if there is a way to get a Celeron2 to do the same kind of thing. I have a 566 that OCs well into 1000 but the MB it is in now will only auto detect FSB settings. I know how to jumper pins to up the voltage, I just need the thing to auto detect at 100mhz.

Is the C566 in a Slot 1 board with an adapter?? Get an adapter with bus speed settings, ie Iwill II. I bet the old pin B21 trick would work. R.

No the Motherboard is a socket370 so I can't just stick in the chip on a Slotket. So I have to modify the pins on the CPU. I am not sure what I need to do to get the MB to think that it is a 100mhz chip.
