Which physical activity should I drop?

Argo

I'm currently involved in the following:

1) Running 2-3 times a week, training for a 5k race next friday and then another one in 2 months
2) Soccer, playing once a week. Planning to join a league very soon
3) Lifting weights 3-4 times, been doing that for the past 6 years
4) Raquetball

I'm starting to realize that my body can't keep up with all of that. I'm having aches and pains all over my body: lower back pain, sprained ankle, sprained elbow. So I realize I'm doing one thing too many and need to drop one. I'm leaning towards running (after the race of course), what would you do?

weights, not only is it boring, it is ache summoning and fake.

Huh? Lifting weights is very important. It makes your body adapt to being put under a strain. Lifting weights and doing cardio is the cornerstone to being physically fit.

How is your eating and your sleep schedule? I've noticed that if I don't get enough sleep, my body gets beaten up. Also, when I don't eat enough (like now, when I'm cutting down), I rack up more fatigue injuries like shin splints. I had to eat more for a couple of weeks so I could heal.

Depends on your goals and priorities. If you want to stay fit, but avoid injury, I would drop soccer. If you want to stay fit, but stay entertained when you work out, I would drop running. Also, it depends on how old you are or if you have any pre-existing injuries.

Weights is the most important to keep. After that you could drop running, as it's not inherently fun and the others will aid in fitness.

add protein to you diet man, your body won;t break down as much, you have to eat right if you do soo much phiysal activity.
