Which Phenom II, 555 or 720

This is a build for my nephew who apparently is no longer a gamer. He mostly does internet surfing, some office stuff, maybe rip movies (can't confirm as his pc habits have changed). I guess he just wants a fast, responsive system.

Gonna match with Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H.

Last 720 I bought unlocked to X4 & OC'd to 3.4

I never bought a 555 so I'm guessing I can depend on an X2 with a higher OC being a C3.
I have an after market HSF.

I suppose you're thinking I should get an Athlon II X4 but I don't know if I should lacking any experience with them.

You can get a 720 for $90, or the 555 for $99. Get the 720.

My first choice would be an Athlon II X4 630 at that price, but between your 2 choices I would take the Phenom II X3 720 long before the dual core.

I have a 720BE that I got for $99 (now $89 at newegg) and it is GREAT. I have it overclocked to a 4 core (16x206=3296) and it is solid.
