Which PDA would you get?

Tiamat

Lifer
Palm TX: $270

Dell Axim X51 416mhz: $224.25

Palm: 4.7x3.0x0.6 cubic inches and 5.2 ounces

Dell: 4.7x2.9.0.7 cubic inches and 5.9 ounces

Palm: 4" 320x480 screen

Dell: 3.5" 240x320 screen

I am leaning on the Palm TX solely on Cnet and specs. Am I missing anything from the competition?

Its a choice between the o\s really.... whatever you think your preference would be. Why not a treo? I think if i wasnt getting a phone\pda device, just a pda device, I would go with ppc, the dell.

The combos are too big for a phone, too small for PDA. I see people talking on blackberrys and it looks ludicris 😀

Any reason why the dell over the palm? Customer support? Price?

palm os is sort of limited, i use treo but windows mobile/ppc at this point is pretty stable, that was not the case before when i got my treo

I see. Problem with the dell Axim is that I couldnt see myself considering the version that is price comparable to the Palm TX. The Axim x51v has nice resolution and if it was the same price of the palm, i would definately get the axim. Unfortunately, its 100$ beyond the Palm.

From what I have read, between the two, they both are pretty solid - causing me to be on the fence on this. I just dont want to make a mistake and end up putting the pda in a box underneath my bed to forget about.
