Which password manager do you use?

At the moment I am using Lastpass and have found it to tick all the boxes. My previous solution was Roboform2Go, which I had on an Ironkey, which was fantastic however it did not work on Linux, which forced me to look for another option.

RoboForm had all of the functionality of Last pass minus the linux support, but was purely offline. Which I preferred. However, no Linux support started to become a problem so I switched. So far, I have really liked Lastpass. As a browser add-on, it works on all platforms and costs next to nothing. I am still keeping my Roboform2Go database up to date weekly seeing as it is still useful. Lastpass supports offline login, but it hasn't always worked for me, so i like a pure offline backup for emergencies (had one yesterday when our router crashed and Lastpass refused to login offline).

Anyhow I was curious as to what other members here are using and why?

🙂.

I really like Keepass portable version. It's easy to make a backup copy and that has come in very handy once. I prefer to keep pws in an offline program like this one.

I also use Keepass. I keep it in my Dropbox and can access it from there on any computer, even my smartphone with Keepass for Android.

Same. Since it works under Wine I can use it on my machines, as well as foreign computers I might end up on.

Another vote for Keepass

this way I only have to remember 3 really secure passwords.

my OS password

my Keepass password

and one e-mail account password.

the others are recoverable...

What advantages does that have over lastpass?

Why I chose Keepass...

It's libre software. The code can be viewed or changed as desired

It's not tied to another service. Using the portable version, I can put it in Dropbox, SpiderOak, a thumb drive, or my own server. A quick download gets me all my passwords.

Since it isn't tied to another service, it'll work in perpetuity. It's a standalone application, and even if no longer works on the host system due to technology advances, the code can be changed to make it compatible. With proprietary software, you're at the mercy of a single entity to keep it going.

My use of Keepass is more manual than many other managers, but it's more bulletproof. There's fewer things that can go wrong.

Been using Roboform for nigh on to 10 years on several computers - all sync'd. Have Roboform2Go on a flash memory keychain module.

Bought RoboForm in their early days, but switched to Lastpass when Roboform started charging yearly fees. Have been very happy with LastPass.

LastPass with two-factor authentication.

I'm a sucker for things that don't require a ton of hassle to set up on all my devices.

KeePass portable for me. I don't use drop though as I don't trust it enough with my KeePass database file
I also use KeePassdroid for my android smartphone

Just how easy is it to hack the *.kdb files though?
I use the AES 128-Bit block cipher using 256-Bit key with 6000 encryption rounds
