Which passive card should I buy?

I like passive cards but can't decide on one of these:

POWERCOLOR SCS3 AX5750 1GBD5-S3DH Radeon HD 5750

GIGABYTE GV-R485MC-1GI Radeon HD 4850

The only important difference I can see is the DirectX 11 vs DirectX10.1. Will DirectX 11 make a big difference in the near future?

I build my own computers and only use them for general work and internet access, no games of any kind.

Both of those are gaming cards. Why not step down to entry grade video cards like the 4350 instead? DirectX11 is not only irrelevant if you don't game it's doubly irrelevant on low end hardware. Even high end gaming cards have trouble with the newest DX11 titles.

Save on power, save money upfront and don't dump as much heat into your environment. Get a non-gaming card if you're not going to play demanding 3d games.

Or better yet, integrated video.

If you don't game (at all) why spend more money for a gaming card that's going to take more juice and be harder to passively cool?

the thing speaking for the 5xxx series are the dx11, low power usage when idle (is it lower than the low lvl 4xxx series?) and eyefinity possibilities.

maybe the 5450 is a better choice then?

I vote for IGP, and use the money saved on an SSD such as the OCZ Agility that is on special currently for $135 after rebate with free shipping from Newegg.

I'd say that the SSD would improve the user experience considerably over a graphics card.

Ditto. Throw an HD4350 passive in the system and put the extra money towards at least an entry-level SSD.
