Good day fellow AnandTech'ers!
I'm just interested to see where the not so average 😉 computer enthusiast devotes the majority of his/her funds. Granted there are nominal prices on a wide variety of many different components where one can get a great value/performance ratio, but seeing how some of us can go overboard or have the "need" to be computer elitists (well some of us need to anyways 😀), what part of the computer do you funnel your hard earned cash into?
I know that certain parts in general cost more than their brethren (since generally a hard drive will cost more than a NIC), but if you search hard enough there are parts that fill the whole spectrum of price points. (anyone have a SCSI floppy drive? 😉)
I understand that certain parts retain value far longer than others in the sense that they are either used more frequently or over longer duration of time (i.e. they do not become obsolete as quickly), but I'm just looking at up front costs where the initial investment is the most hefty. 🙂
