Title says it all. Scrot from AIDA64:

/edit: Oh, and screenshots as well as model of the mainboard would be a great info.

You might find this interesting: In theory no one should have the 'A' stepping and the 'A' stepping does not have the sata issue:

To make matters worse, the problem was inserted at the B-stepping of the 6-series chipsets. Earlier steppings (such as what we previewed last summer) didn’t have the problem. Unfortunately for Intel, only B-stepping chipsets shipped to customers. Since the fix involves cutting off voltage to a transistor it will be fixed with a new spin of metal and you’ll get a new associated stepping (presumably C-stepping?).

I did try answering this in another thread. AFAIK current stepping is B2, the new revised stepping to come will be B3.

Showing the current [B2] stepping.

You can check yourselves with hwinfo32 (freeware, no installation required).

corpfan1, that would likely be the host bridge which is part of the CPU itself.

The possibly problematic SATA devices live in the platform controller HUB (PCH).

The host bridge and DRAM controller of the CPU would be similar in function to the older North Bridge whilst the PCH would be similar to the older South Bridge. Hope that helps.

Some people might also want to know how to tell the difference between the possibly problematic chipsets and the newer fixed chipsets. The newer ones AFAIK will be stepping B3.
