Which P4 to buy ?

Hey guys, im just about to go upgrade my pc and im in a bit of a "dilemma". I dont know which P4 to buy. Im planning on buying the ASUS P4T533-C but i dont know which cpu would be the best, 2ghz 2.26 at 533mhz FSB or 2.4 533mhz FSB any suggetions would be helpful thx.

If you're willing to overclock then you can save yourself a good bit a money by going with a 1.6A.

I agree with "Shooters" if you are going to overclock go with the 1.6a. I've seen many posts taking it 2Ghz and higher. If you are not going to overclock get the fastest Northwood P4 you can afford. These have 512K cache [designated either an a (400Mhz) or b (533Mhz) after the speed.] Given a choice between the 2.2a (400Mhz) and the 2.26b (533Mhz) take the 2.26b it will be faster, not only because of the 0.06Ghz speed difference, but also because of the buss speed difference.

Get the 1.6a and easily overclock it to 2.4 GHz. I've got one to 2.45GHz and waiting for a new memory stick to get to DDR400 memory bandwidth speeds. The Northwood loves increased memory bandwidth; so, if you are not going to overclock, then by all means get a 533 bus that board that allows for faster memory speeds at default settings.
