which P4 1.4ghz should i get 478 or 423.. help!

I`m about too buy a P4 1.4ghz
but i`m confused with the sockets

does it matter if i get the big 1.4ghz socket or 1.4ghz small socket

any advize would be great...

Get socket 478 (the small one). It can give you a future upgrade patch well beyond 2 ghz.

Yes, 478. The 423 is obsolet.
