Which overclocks better Athlon 2700 tbred or Barton 2800

Im looking to get an AMD processor around the £100 *about $150* pricepoint to replace my rev B 2100Xp tbred.

Aria.co.uk do the XP2700 333fsb (2.17ghz) cpu for £92 *inc tax* and the XP2800 Barton 333fsb (2.08ghz) for £120 inc tax...

Now how much difference does the extra L2 cache make in this situation. And also when taking overclocking into consideration does anyone know how far both of these chips are likely to go. I know that AMD's performance ratings at this level can be misleading. So anyone with experience with both these chips, i would greatly appreciate your input.

Just so you know the rest of my system i have

XP2100 @ 2.0ghz 400fsb

Shuttle SN45G *nforce 2 ultra 400 mainboard*
has PCI / AGP lock and i can change cpu multiplier, FSB and voltage on both CPU and mem. Unlike some other shuttles.

1gb Twinmos 3200 Ram *2x512 in dual channel mode*
120gb WD SE
160gb WD SE
Connect 3D Radeon 9500 ---> softmodded to 9700 with 350mhz core / 310mhz mem :)

For anyone wondering why im upgrading the CPU when there isn't a huge difference, im buying a new pc for someone, and they are more than happy to take the 2100 at that speed on an Epox 8RDA+ *also mine* so its not really gonna be costing anything to upgrade.

I'd probably pick up the Barton. The higher L2 cache allows for less latency in processing things (albeit not by much), and the clock speed difference is more than made up by it.

*bump*
No one here can give me a good indication of which will perform better???

Does anyone here own either of these two cheaps and can maybe give me an idea of overclocking performance of either... i see all the time 2500xp bartons hitting 2.3ghz +

What can i expect with these two chips.

I've not used the 2800+, but the 2700+ was able to run at 11.5x200fsb at stock voltage on my 8RDA+

Forget about the XP2700 and 2800... get an XP2500... mine does 2.2 on default voltage, and 2.3 on 1.7 volts
