Which optical cable?

Wondering if anyone had any experience with optical cable/toss links
are they all the same or is one really better than the other ... like monster cable opticals ... they cost $60! vs Acoustic Research cable for $20

is there an obvious difference between optical and coaxial cables?

I purchased the AR from BB and i'm going to give it a go i guess... it's for DVD to HT

I went to Best Buy and got the AR. It works great!

Oh, the BB sales guy tried to sell me the 60 buck one. Apparently, the color of the light is "purer" so it doesn't "color" the bits.

No, that wasnt a joke.

Needless to say, I got the AR

OMG, it's almost like a slap in the face and seeing how much of an idiot customer we are. Me? I asked, before researching, if there was a major difference between DVI and component cables. Legit question. "Yeah man, DVI is better man." Me: Oh really? Him: "Yeah man, it makes a difference. Like wow man." I went home and researched. LoL.
