I have a windows NT 4.0 computer. I want to format it, and install a different operating system. I don't know if i can install 2000. Should I install win 98 SE, or 2000?

Some Computer Specs:

130,420 kb RAM (exactly what it says in system properties)
Windows NT 4.0
x86 Family 6, Model 8, Stepping 1, GenuineIntel level - 6 revision - 0801

Hi,

Well, I guess since you've got 128MB of RAM you'll probably have new enough hardware to allow win 2k to run ok. If you're going to do an install anyway - try sk first. It's leagues better than 98SE (which you should avoid if at all possible - unless you want to run some really old badly written software).

Good luck,

Andy

With 128 MB of RAM you could get away with either OS.

Which OS? Depends on what you do with it, or upgrade certain things on it. If you play RAM intensive games, the Win98 would probably be a better way to go. But then again, Windows 2000 just flat out rocks.
