I love my PC-65! It is classic, roomy, airy, and very easy to work in. The hdd tray is very easy to access and the clip for the motherboard wires is the most convenient feature I have ever used. I bought a Thermaltake Xaser case because for some fool reason I thought change would good. I had it together for about 2 minutes, then I stripped everything out of it and put it back in the Lian Li. You really don't know what you have until it's gone. 🙂

Ive never used a coolermaster case but i do have and currently use the pc-65, and i love it 2 death. I havent had a problem with it since day 1, my next case will definately be a lian-li since i had such a good experience with this 1 🙂

imho, you can't go wrong with either one. my vote will go to the Lian Li because for $20 bucks less than the Praetorian you are getting a side window which i think will cost you 30 something dollars if you go with the cooler master (thats only if you are big on side windows).

I will get CM. It's better built with thicker material, better surface finish. Did I mention much stronger structure?
I would think both should have similar cooling. I like the classic and more expensive look of cooler master.

Motherboard tray is removable, 2 intake and 2 exhaust fans, spaces to hide cables, wires.

I agree. I'd go with the Lian Li, but for cosmetic reasons only.

I have a CM case right now and I love it. It is by far the best case I've ever used. But on the other hand, I've never heard a bad word about Lian Li, so I'd rate them about equal as far as quality goes.

Take a look at the interior of both. maybe I'm biased, but the Lian Li offers so much more. There are 2 adjustable 80mm fans in front, USB connections up front (that nobody I know has ever been able to figure out 😕 ), the mobo wire harness snaps together so you don't have to disconnect the wires from your mobo, slide out mobo tray, a nice side window....... Damn, am I a fanboi?! lol

I do like the firewire on the front of the CM, though. I have an ipod and wish the PC-65 had a port up front.

I'm biased, but I own the Coolermaster's older brother, the ATC-201SX. It also has 2 fans up front, USB up front as well as firewire and audio jacks. It's also head and shoulders above the LiLi in looks (IMO). It's an incredibly solid design. The motherboard connectors on the Lian Li are an excellent feature, but I rarely remove the motherboard anyway.

If you do get the Lian-Li, here's some ideas for cable routing neatness. Even if the only modification you did was to make the rectangle cut next to the optical drives, it could open up some new routing options for you.

I bought a PC60 USB Lian Li from Compusa 4 or 5 years ago, and you know what, I might never buy another case. The case is easy to work with, looks hot, durable, just about everything you could want in a case.......

I looked at both the coolermaster and lian-li cases and picked the Lian-Li based on finish, and how well the parts fit together. The motherboard tray slides in and out like it is on rails. Additional touches and better cooling - I picked up the CompUSA OEM PC-82 with 5 fans. The PC-82 is basically the same as the PC-65 only there are a few front bezel changes in the grey tones used, has the same window, has a top blow hole and has two fans in the rear instead of just one in the PC-65. Visit a local store to look at the case and decide.
