Which one should I get - Duron 800 or T--bird 750 - priced the same

I don't plan on a great deal of Oclocking initially (will be used at work). I found a place where the Duron 800 is priced at $81 and the T-bird 750 is $80. Thanks.

Thanks everyone - I didn't realize the performance delta between Duron and T-bird was that huge.

It is not that huge, but when you consider overclocking potential, go thunderbird!(You will overclock it, right?)

I will have to. While work requires stability, Photoshop can always use a little more speed.

I would either go with the Thunderbird or a slower Duron. The 650 and 700 durons can be had for about $50 to $60 before shipping and overclock really well. The 800's from my experience do not. If you want to spend the $90 bucks or so go with the Tbird. Its a pretty decent overclocker so you got pretty good odds of getting to 900.

I would choose the Thunderbird -- the larger L2 cache is more important than 50 MHz of clock speed, which can be made up for by overclocking, anyway.
