I have the following four options available with the maximal difference between them being 50$

Moto Z Play (Compelling Package with surreal battery life - Lenovo's worrying build quality)

Nexus 6P (The quintessential Nexus experience with a premium encasing - Lacks the battery life of the other 3)

Nova Plus (essentially a compromise between the aforementioned two - a Nexus 6P with good battery life)

HTC One M9+ (Former flagship, weak chipset, but compelling features, it's sibling the M9 a possible contender)

Which one deserves around 300 dollars? Take into consideration that I am outside the US and Europe.

What do you want from a phone? Good battery life? Camera? Performance? Fast updates?

You can't have all of the above...

The 6P is the most well rounded, but like you mentioned the battery life is miserable. I have had my 6P for over a year, and it gets horrible battery life. Second worst phone I have used in terms of battery life (first was Galaxy Nexus on Verizon/US carrier).

Was dead-set on purchasing the Nexus 6P from the showroom (Saudi Arabia) after reading your recommendations for approximately 340 USD, took a look at all available options and lo and behold they were eliminating the Moto X Pure 16GB from stock at an orgasm-inducing 210$. Thought of it as a worthy replacement, picked it up with a good 64GB MicroSD Card and case with the change, and I am quite happy, currently experimenting with a few ROMS. Unfortunately customization was out of the window but I don't mind with my chosen device.
