Ok..I am looking at the following motherboards, the are the ones stickied in this forum.:

DFI NF4 SLI-DR

MSI K8N Neo4

Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe

I may or may not do SLI. But if I do I want a good performing board. I know the MSI and DFI overclock better than the Asus.

I will be running OCZ VX4000 ram. I need to know which one is the best choice. I have read every review out there comparing them. I want one with good Sata performance...they are all Nforce4 sata so cant go wrong there. Just want an awsome performing board overall. Dont care about the price differences between the 3.

Hmm tuff decusion here becuz they all have their own problems. But if you want good performing board here..I suggest the Dfi
 
Oh great. 3 different post and they all recommend the 3 diff boards.....lol...tell me why each board is better or why the other one isnt........i just want to pick out a board fast.

I need to know why the board you say to go for is good or how its better than the others or what the others lack in etc.

In benchies Asus didnt OC well? Performance wise...which is best? I can tweak the DFI for max statability can't I? Want it to be stable.
 
I bought the Asus a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Rock stable and overclocks easily although I didn't go anything outrageous. Temps are low (should be with an XP 90). I'm very happy with my purchase!🙂

What graphics you pair it with. How do DFI and the MSI compare to the Asus in terms of gaming? I've seen Asus's gaming performance and its pretty good.
 
Yea your right asus does good in gaming. Dfi basically ocing board, even though still good at stock speeds.Msi is good too..Right behind the Dfi. But asus is really good, of course not the BEST oc'er or anything but really good at stable speeds. They all good mobo's just pick which one would fit your needs. 🙂

I bought an X800XL because I ordered a 6800GT then received an email that they had run out of stock so I could wait or change. No regrets, had a 6800GT AGP and the X800XL seems to hang right with it.

So the DFI is just for people who want to OC the hell out of their parts? So MSI or ASUS board for gaming/ocing a little/really good performance?

I want to take a 3200+ Winchester to 2.4-2.5 ghz. Will need the board to run OCZ VX 4000 Ram. It likes 3.4v or more.
 
I had 2 sticks of Corsair XMS Low Latency (2-2-2-5) and it the Asus board) seems to reaaly like this ram and the little OC'ing I did was simple with this ram. Of course from what I've heard you don't need this good of ram, but at stock sppeds I get some really good BM's with it.
 
If you need a board to run 3.4v i suggest you getting the Dfi then, I dont think other mobo's can go that high. If you look on anandtech website under motherboards they have the sli round up, you should check that out. The Dfi does really good 🙂 !!

I think the benchmarks are so close to each other....with either of the 3 boards you wouldn't notice the difference...right?

Yeah that OCZ ram is warrantied up to 3.6volts. DFI Can go up to 4 so im good there. I dont know about the other boards though ?

Edit: mispelled word.
 
Performance difference and only small % to each other and you wont notice that. I would say get the cheaper one of the 3 board and you should be happy. Just get a good power supply with 24 pins support and you shouldnt run into any problems.

I was going to get an OCZ Modstream 520W or Antec Neopower 480W. Sound good? Which would you get?
 
Asus SLI mobos.

Overclocked my AMD64 "3500+" to 2585MHz (235FSB), but notched it back to 220FSB, since my RAM could not function 1:1 at that FSB.

PSU: Antec Neo 480
