If these are basically the same monitors as the original Sonys and Mitsubshies, rebranded for Compaq and Dell use, then would it be safe to say that they will be good crts?

Im just looking for a 19-inch crt for now because they are cheap and so am I.

Thanks in advance.

The compaq one looks better, just going by the listed specs. (higher horizontal scan speed, which means better refresh rates)

Either would be great. Sony FDTrinitron and Mitsu DiamondtronNF are 2 of the best CRT tubes out there. However, people seem to prefer the DiamondtronNF, and like CP5670 said, the Compaq does have a higher refresh rate, so if the prices are similar I'd go with the Compaq

I would go with the Trinitron... I had one of those before I made the switch to LCD and it was pretty darn nice. Plus it's cheaper. :p
